Jane Austgen19/03/2024Alex was making. So easy to work with. I changed the itinerary a couple of times, she was great about it and sent me several options. I would definitely use this service again. We had private tours the first couple of days and then rented a car. Everything was written out for us with details that included what to wear ont at particular tour. It couldn’t have been easier.
Rachelle Ochs21/02/2024Sally was an amazing guide during our trip! She was extremely helpful in pointing out spots of interest. The itenerary was balanced in allowing for activities as well as rest. Our honeymoon felt incredibly special because of the care that Sally and the rest of New Zealand Guided Tours took to ensuere that it was centered around what we wanted to do.
James Decker09/01/2024Amazing experience with NZ Guided Tours. Family of 5 for 11 day trip throughout South Island. Extremely well coordinated and can't say enough good things about our guide Lou Brown. She was extremely knowledgeable but more importantly accommodating to our children and felt like another member of our family. Would highly recommend for families and groups looking to simplify seeing such an amazing but spaced out country. Local recommendations were so valuable and maximized our experience.
Linia Hardy14/12/2023We had the absolute pleasure of booking an 11-day Lord of the Rings guided tour for six of our closest friends with Francine. Our every need and aspiration was considered and a perfect plan to drive the entire country was created. The response time via email was nearly instantaneous and Francine made and incredible effort to answer all of our questions and gained our trust completely. With our guide and driver Wayne at the helm (We called him our "Eagle" due to being such Rings fans!), we did not have to worry about a single logistical detail. On top of that, Wayne made so many wonderful suggestions for photo opportunities, food stops, wine stops, LOTR filming locations and was a wealth of knowledge about the country. Our experience with New Zealand Guided Tours was top notch and if I could give TEN stars I would. Thank you so much to Francine, Wayne, and New Zealand Guided Tours for helping us to plan and experience our dream trip of a lifetime! Cannot wait to go back! <3
James Aljian30/04/2023Francine planned and organized a very thorough private tour for us on the North Island. We saw everything, yet our pace was relaxed. She booked us at the best hotels and she knows New Zealand inside and out. Our guide, Wayne Johnson was phenomenal. Would highly recommend.

Jey Maran25/01/2023We were a group of 15 who visited both north and South Island on a 14 day guided tour in December 2022. We are very pleased with guided New Zealand tours and Francine Smith. From the first email inquiry, Francine has been very responsive and prompt. She was easy to work with and is knowledgeable. The hotels we stayed in were excellent and easily among the best in town. The activities she scheduled were outstanding and we greatly enjoyed our trip to New Zealand. I would like to thank Francine particularly for choosing G. Gordon Hammer as our guide.
Louise Kiernan15/01/2023We had a fantastic experience from start to finish. Francine arranged a tour that suited our family perfectly. She was very responsive and made sure we got exactly what we wanted (and we were a diverse group!). Our guide, Dirk, was knowledgable, patient, accommodating and had the patience of a saint. Honestly, we felt like we were in a magic bubble for 2 weeks. Couldn't have asked for a better NZ Adventure.
Mark Bridges12/01/2023We were so fortunate to have discovered New Zealand Guided Tours! From the beginning, Francine of NZGT was so helpful and responsive. She answered all our questions and provided lots of details concerning our trip. We booked a private guided 18 Day Lord of the Rings Guided Tour with New Zealand Guided Tours and couldn’t have been more pleased. The itinerary was perfect for our family and included many activities and sites that our family loved. The Lord of the Rings tour sites were all beautiful and of great interest to the LOTR fans in our family. The itinerary also included other activities such as a visit to the Glow Worm Caves, float plane ride, Gondola Ride and Luge-ing from tall mountains, a visit to the USA Antarctic Research Center in Christchurch, Jet boat ride and much more. One of the best things about our tour was our tour guide Mark. Mark provided commentary throughout the tour and took us to places only a seasoned tour guide would know of. Don’t bother looking for other tour companies as New Zealand Guided Tours is the best.

“The entire holiday was great. The country is incredibly beautiful and we were very lucky with the weather. If I had to choose I would say the helicopter flight up to Franz Josef Glacier was the most spectacular and memorable moment. The most unique experience was the Doubtful Sound cruise. The scenery, landscape and weather were amazing. The Trans Alpine Railway was also very scenic. Everywhere we visited was beautiful. The Mt Cook area was incredible. Queenstown and Wanaka were amazing towns. And all of the small towns we visited in transit between destinations were great as well.
